Roller derby is more than a sport. It’s a community, a challenge and a place where you will discover confidence you didn’t know you have. We are always looking for new skaters, referees, officials and volunteers to join our growing roller derby family.

No Experience? No Problem!
Roller derby has a place for people of different ages, body types and skill levels. You don’t need to know how to skate, own gear or be athletic.
You just need to show up and be willing to try!
Don’t have gear? We have loaner skates and protective equipment available to help you get started.

We have skates and protective gear you can borrow to get started. Just bring your water bottle and comfortable clothes.
No pressure, no expectations
You don’t have to be athletic, you just have to be willing to try. There’s a place for all skills here on and off the track.
No experience needed
You don’t need to know anything about roller derby or even how to skate. We can teach you everything you need to know.

Where We Skate
You don’t have to wait for bootcamp to meet the Hill City Rollers. Our regular Monday practices are always open to people interested in playing roller derby.
We practice every Monday from 6 – 8:30 PM at Interskate 88.
Come meet the team, ask questions, check out the gear or try skating with us. There’s no pressure and There’s no pressure and your first on-skates practice is free!

What to Expect at Practice
Trying something new can feel a little intimidating, especially with roller skates involved. But we remember what it was like to be brand new and we’ll help you get comfortable at your own pace.
Practices are about building skills, learning roller derby and having fun with friends. You don’t need to know how to skate before you join.
Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Your first on-skates practice is free!
